You're replacing a sun-faded, road-battered, barely sealed access hatch that's been holding on by a thread since your last trip. You pull it off, line up the new one, and it fits. Like it was made for your rig from the start. Because it was.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our B&B RV Multi-Purpose Hatch with Key Lock. It's an open back design in black. Now, overall this is gonna be 8 by 8 1/2. And the cutout is gonna be 6 13/16 by 6 5/16. And the depth here is about 3 11/16 inches deep.
As you can see, it has a key, so it gives you some added security for opening and locking everything up. And even has like a little thumb press, or not really thumb press, but just a little part you can kind of get out of the way. That way, if you wanna have a hose or a wire go through there, like a pass through, you have that option. Now, as you can see, you've got holes all the way around the perimeter. They do include the installation hardware with black-painted tips along with a roll of butyl tape.
And that butyl tape, if you don't know, is gonna go around the perimeter, and it's gonna go in, and whenever you put your screws through, it's gonna sink and suck into the RV or camper wall, giving you a nice watertight seal. And of course, you have the cutout here in the back. Now, this is made of a heavy-duty plastic material. It's UV stable, so it's gonna resist fading and cracking over time. And that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together.
I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Looks like a fine access door. I have yet to install it but the unit seems complete. Just what I needed.
The door itself was good quality. The lock used was of poor quality, using only a cheap clip to hold it in place. The lock would not hold the top of the door closed, which would let the tv tires throw water right into the compartment the door was attached to. Purchased another lock that used a nut to hold the lock securely in place and the door is now closed properly.
